Berkeley Honda has been a certified green business since 1964. We proudly conserve natural resources and prevent pollution by utilizing more efficient lighting, purchasing in bulk, watering landscapes efficiently, recycling cardboard boxes, using less toxic products, and generally working to make our business operations more environmentally friendly. We also work hard to give some green back to those who support us.
Our fundraising efforts through charity auctions demonstrate the kind of community activism that builds strong trust in our dealership and has earned us hundreds of loyal customers. Another example of how Berkeley Honda serves the community is Steve Haworth’s invitation to UC Berkeley athletes to work at his dealership selling Hondas and learning how to survive beyond the protective cocoon of college sports programs. Berkeley Honda’s staff is made up of UC Berkeley athletes, including several CAL football players, gymnasts, swimmers, soccer players and high jumpers from the track and field team.
